Beat is a very basic drum sampler where each sample is mapped to a specific key on the keyboard.
Beat is very bare-bones, and doesn't feature things like velocity or bank switching, but with Beat you're able to choose up to sixteen samples, and change the volume, panning, and pitch of each sample individually.
Beat lets you use your keyboard as a drum controller, but the intention behind it is allowing the easy creation of custom controllers built from gutted keyboards.
